The town and municipality where our production plant is located celebrates its 800th anniversary this year! To mark the occasion, the management of Poli Trade Polska Sp. z o.o. , the owner of the Feniks Pellets brand, decided to take an unusual step. To highlight the local character of our excellent pellets,  we are introducing a new premium product that will be sold under the Niemodlin Pellet brand.

The product packaging features a logo reflecting the identity of the manufacturer and the municipality of Niemodlin, evoking the ducal castle in Niemodlin, built in 1313 as the seat of Duke Bolko I of Niemodlin.

Niemodlin – the town’s history and local industry

History

Niemodlin, a picturesque town in the Opole Voivodeship, boasts a rich and varied history. The earliest mentions of Niemodlin date back to the 12th century, although the town developed most during the Middle Ages, becoming an important centre of trade and crafts in Upper Silesia. Niemodlin was granted town rights in 1283, and its growth was driven by its craft traditions.

Over the centuries, the town came under the influence of different states and cultures. In the 15th century it belonged to the Piast dynasty of Opole, before coming under Bohemian and Habsburg rule. In the 18th century, Niemodlin, like the rest of Silesia, came under Prussian rule, which influenced its economic development. Rapid industrial growth arrived in the 19th century with the construction of a railway line that brought the town closer to other centres in Silesia.

Factories and local businesses

The history of industry in Niemodlin is a story of small craft workshops developing into larger manufacturing plants over the years. In the early 20th century, textiles, milling and ceramics production grew in the town. After the Second World War, Niemodlin, incorporated into Poland, continued its industrial tradition, although large industrial plants did not play a significant role there. Smaller enterprises and local manufacturing companies came to the fore, forming the backbone of the local economy.

In recent years, an environmentally focused industrial sector has emerged in Niemodlin, reflecting the nationwide trend towards sustainable development. One example of a company that has embraced this direction is Poli Trade Polska, a local pellet producer.

Poli Trade Polska – a Polish pellet manufacturer

Poli Trade Polska is one of the key companies in Niemodlin, specialising in the production of pellets – an environmentally friendly fuel that is becoming increasingly popular in Poland and Europe. The company stands out for its modern technologies and care for the environment, focusing on sustainably sourced raw materials.

As a significant employer in the region, the company employs both production specialists and local workers, helping improve the labour market in Niemodlin. In response to growing demand for environmentally friendly fuels, Poli Trade Polska decided to launch a new product called Pellet Niemodlin – named as a tribute to the region and its residents.

Pellet Niemodlin is a high-quality product designed to meet the needs of households seeking efficient, environmentally friendly heating solutions. Through its activity in the pellet market, Poli Trade Polska supports the local economy and promotes sustainability and environmental responsibility, in line with its mission to care for the environment.

Importance for the region

Thanks to companies such as Poli Trade Polska, Niemodlin is developing as a manufacturing centre and strengthening its position in local and national markets. The new product, Pellet Niemodlin, could become a recognisable symbol of the region, demonstrating how local tradition and modern technology can work successfully together.
